Women’s Institute Tea Gardens 

The WI Tea Garden is very popular and is ready for business as soon as the Show gates open. The Women's Institute has had a presence on the Littleport Show Ground for as long as the modern Show has been in existence. It is recommended that you take the time to enjoy some real home made cooking, sandwiches, scones or cakes with your cup of tea, while you sit and relax and take in the full effect of that Country Show feel.  

The women’s institute work very hard during the day and are always so very busy; their queue of customers never seems to diminish. But the queue of people is never unhappy, as everyone enjoys meeting so many old friends that maybe hadn’t been seen since the last show.   

You will find the Tea Gardens situated at the lower end of the Show field, just past the Littleport Society and Photographical Marquee. The Littleport Show is the one-day of the year that the ex Village Cricket Pavilion is once more transformed into a building of visual delight. The hardworking members of the W.I can be found on the days prior to Show Day, cleaning, painting and preparing the building to a suitable standard; in preparation for serving so many of the 1000’s of visitors to the Show.  

Do not leave the Show before visiting the W.I Tea Gardens, but do not leave it too late; there is only so much lovely food to serve.
